How do I order a FoldAway ladder?

Call or email us so we can confirm what size ladder, the style of mounting system and whether we will need measurements from your boat. If so, we will send you a simple measurement worksheet to complete and send back to us.

 

Since the ladder comes with the mounting system can I buy a mount for the other side of the boat to allow me to move my ladder from one side to the other?

Yes.  Another option is to by a second ladder as that would include a second mounting system. For example, you could have a single section ladder on one side for boarding and a multi-section ladder on the other side for crew recovery, swimming etc. Removable mounts allow you to move them from one side to the other.

How do I know what length ladder I need?

It depends on the height of your boat's freeboard. Ideally, you want to have 2 rungs in the water for crew recovery. Contact us if you have any questions on what the appropriate length for your boat is.

Can the ladder be deployed from the water? 

Yes. You would stow the ladder outside of the lifelines and secure it to the top lifeline with a small 1/8" bungee cord. Then run a line to the water from the ladder. Pulling the ladder from the water will release the ladder, causing it to drop down.
